Competition where every robot needed to navigate through a maze while shooting at three targets of different sizes, distances and frequencies. Integrated multiple systems: a drive-train (with mecanum wheels), IR frequency analyzer, ultrasonic range finder,and shooting mechanism. Designed a custom rotary to linear actuator to control the firing mechanism.
As a side project used a cell phone, Bluetooth and an Arduino to wirelessly control the robot’s movement in 18 separate directions. This required GUI design as well as serial coding.
